Care instructions for 100% cotton calico wheatbag       Care instructions for 100% cotton/ 100% wool wheatbag
  • Empty the contents of the wheat bag
  • Wash on normal cycle
  • Hang out to dry
  • Store empty
  • Empty the contents of the wheat bag
  • Hand wash in warm water with a wool specific detergent
  • Gently squeeze out water
  • Rinse
  • Lay flat to dry
  • Drycleanable
  • Store empty

Heating Instructions for all cotton and cotton/wool wheat bags

  • Remove inner - do not put the cover in the microwave
  • Adjust the time and temperature according to the wattage of your microwave.
  • Start with a lower temperature and watch the microwave, never walk away.
  • Remember anything that is put in the microwave, on a high temperature will burn!
Heating Buckwheat (buckwheat is lighter than normal wheat so should be a lower heating time)
  • Remove inner wheat bag 
  • For 100 grams approximately 30 seconds (depending on your microwaves Wattage)
  • Shake after heating 
The following instructions are only a guide; please refer to the manufacturer's instructions when using your microwave.

  • Remove inner
  • If removing or re filling your wheat bag always adjust your heating time
  • Lightly spray both side of the inner with water, or add a cup on water for each wheatbag
  • 1 kg filling - heat for approximately 2 minutes on a low heat (depending on your microwaves wattage)
  • 500 gm filling - heat for approximately 1 minute on a low heat (depending on your microwaves wattage)
  • 30 gm filling - heat for approximately 30 seconds on a low heat (depending on your microwaves wattage)
  • Shake after heating and let stand for 1 minute
  • Never, ever let a child heat a wheat bag!!
  • Never walk away when heating your wheatbag! 
  • Do not leave Wheat bags in babies or small children"s beds overnight, heat bed and remove wool covers can be left in.
